This role will help expand ARC’s presence throughout the Eastern U.S. by building meaningful relationships with municipal decision makers, parks and recreation professionals, and community advocates. You’ll represent a mission-driven brand that provides skateparks, bike parks, pump tracks, trails, and bicycle playgrounds that bring lasting value to communities.
As part of the East Region sales team, you’ll play a key role in helping municipalities access funding, plan projects, and bring their visions to life. This is a hands-on sales role with a blend of outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, relationship management, and regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with city leaders, municipal decision makers, parks and recreation directors, planners, and community advocates across the Eastern Region.
- Create, advance, and capture sales opportunities from initial contact through close.
- Develop a deep understanding of ARC’s product lines (skateparks, bike parks, pump tracks, trails, bicycle playgrounds) and communicate their value to diverse stakeholders.
- Prospect new opportunities through phone outreach, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and grassroots community engagement.
- Maintain high sales activity, tracking key metrics including number of calls, emails, and call times.
- Prepare sales quotes and proposals for prospective projects.
- Manage opportunities through ARC’s CRM, ensuring all activities, contacts, and pipeline data are accurate and up to date.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and community events to represent ARC, generate leads, and strengthen industry connections.
- Travel within your assigned region to meet with municipalities, visit project sites, and deepen relationships with community partners. Expect heavier travel during spring and fall trade show seasons, including booth set-up, event participation, booth tear-down, and lead follow-up.
- Manage and support industry trade shows in your assigned region.
- Collaborate with ARC’s design and construction teams to align project solutions with customer needs.
- Provide input to marketing and leadership on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
- Achieve sales goals and help ARC expand its footprint and impact across the East Coast Region.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship builder — able to connect with municipal officials, parks professionals, and community advocates.
- Results-driven, team-oriented, and relational — works well with others, communicates openly, and builds trust.
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage your own territory, prioritize effectively, and deliver results.
- Systems and process-oriented, with an appreciation for using CRM tools to track pipeline and manage opportunities.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn and improve continuously.
- Confident phone prospector; comfortable initiating conversations and creating opportunities.
- Ability to schedule and run professional, high-quality meetings with municipalities and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly communicate value to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Experience in B2B or municipal/government sales preferred, ideally in parks/recreation, construction, A/E, or design-build industries. Familiarity with construction/design processes is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Ability to stay organized, manage a customer/prospect list, and consistently ask for commitments to advance opportunities.
- Passion for outdoor recreation and/or action sports a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally (15–30%). Successful sales reps typically travel for sales meetings one week every 1–2 months in addition to heavier seasonal trade show schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
